The Hancock boys’ basketball team led 40-19 at the half and went on to post a 67-49 victory over Lac qui Parle Valley on Tuesday night. Hancock won the battle of the boards 42-23. The Owls assisted on 19 of their 27 made field goals in the game, led by Luke Joos with 9 dimes.
Matt Thompson had a game high 28 points and completed a double-double by securing 16 rebounds. Sebastian Felix added 10 points and Hudson VerSteeg snared 10 rebounds.
Kaden Molden, William Giese and Landon Schirm had 9 points each to lead LqPV.
The win was the sixth in a row for the Owls, who are now 9-2 on the season. They will travel to Wheaton on Friday night.
